Music Video Commissioned for "Radium Girls"!

Exciting news! We've just commissioned the artist Omer Gal to create an animated music video for "Radium Girls," one of the songs on Our Lady of Radium. Omer is an incredible visual and performing artist we've known for a while through his weird and enchanting band Cookie Tongue, a musical duo with whom we've been lucky to perform on several memorable occasions. (Jeff is also wearing a shirt designed by Omer AS WE TYPE THIS VERY UPDATE.) Here's Omer's video reel if you want to see what kind of magic he cooks up:
Omer is an Israeli born, international artist and musician, currently living in Brooklyn. He has shown his work extensively in New York, San Francisco, LA, Tel Aviv, Toronto, Rome, Russia, Italy, Brazil, UK and Finland. He graduated with an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and he received his BFA from Minshar school for Art in Tel Aviv, Israel. Along with Omer’s art comes his music and sound work, which he incorporates into performance, ritual movement, drawing, animation and video. His theatrical musical project “Cookie Tongue,” started in 2011, has performed in front of many audiences worldwide and released 3 studio albums. His short stop motion animation works and videos have been featured at festivals worldwide.

Darling Disasters: We're thrilled to share the design for the Our Lady of Radium T-shirts, featuring original artwork by the wonderful Susan Saas (whose artwork will also illustrate the album cover and the art & lyrics book).
These shirts will be a limited edition run, printed in a fancy 6-color process by our friend Crash (who manufactures all of our shirts and bandanas from his studio in Detroit). If you ordered a shirt as part of your pledge, this is what it will look like:
If you didn't order a shirt when you made your pledge and now you wish you had, it's not too late! You can still order one via our preorder page on Backerkit. These shirts will not be available as regular merch, only via the preorder (which we'll keep open for a few more weeks before we ask Crash to go ahead and print).
DIGITAL SINGLES BUNDLE UPDATE: If you ordered the "Digital Singles Bundle" add-on when you made your pledge (there are about 50 of you), we sent you those tracks last week! You should have received an email on Aug 11 with the subject line "New Digital Content for Charming Disaster: OUR LADY OF RADIUM on BackerKit" that contained download instructions. ALTERNATIVELY, you can access the download via your Backerkit Survey (go to ourladyofradium.backerkit.com and enter your email to get a link).

Hey there, just a quick update on what we've been up to.

The vinyl reissues of our first two albums are in production and are starting to be delivered to us.

A few weeks ago we got the chance to go into Brooklyn's Figure 8 Recording with engineer/producer Hillary Johnson to track four new songs! These feature the incredible talents of Bob Smith (bass) and Robert Garcia (drums) to add the needed stylings these songs demanded.
Last Sunday we added a few finishing touches at Hillary's home studio, and now the mixing can begin (these will not be on the Our Lady of Radium album, but released at a later date).

Dear Backers, we just wanted to check in and give you a few updates from Charming Disaster HQ:
1) Backer Surveys! We are working on setting up your backer surveys on BackerKit, a platform that will help us keep collect and keep track of your order and shipping details (and even let you preorder additional items if you wish), so stay tuned for more about that soon.
2) This Friday night is the Season 3 Finale of our weekly Quarantine Livestream series! This will be your last chance to see it for a while as we're taking a summer break. The episode promises to be madcap.
3) We have two LIVE shows coming up next weekend in New York's Hudson Valley. If you live around there, we would be delighted to see you!
Sat June 26, 8pm at Time & Space Limited (Hudson, NY) - TICKETS
Sun June 27, 3pm at the Widow Jane Mine (Rosendale, NY) - TICKETS
4) We also have a HYBRID live/livestream show coming up on July 16 that you can attend virtually OR live in Beacon, NY. Livestream tickets are pay what you wish (there is a suggested ticket price listed but you get to choose your own discount).
